| This graveyard was found out from an illustration showing that Michinobu's grandson, Ippen, held the memorial service at his grandfather's grave in 1280 which was contained in 'Ippen shonin eden' (Illustrated Biography of the Monk Ippen), a picture scroll showing Ippen's travel all over Japan. |
孫にあたる一遍が全国を遊行した様子を描いた絵巻物である「一遍上人絵伝」に、弘安3年（1280年）に祖父の墓で供養を行う様子が描かれていることが、この墓所を発見する手がかりになった。 |
