On February 24, 1000 ricecakes of about 3 cm thick and 15 cm in diameter, which are called dangu (the thousand ricecakes dedicated for the two Kannon statues in Shuni-e), are made to be dedicated in front of Buddha for the first seven days (also on March 5, the same number of dangu is made for the last seven days). |
2月24日には上七日に仏前に供えられる壇供(だんぐ)と呼ばれる厚さ3cm直径15cm程の餅を1000個つく(3月5日にも同数の檀供が下七日の為につかれる)。 |
