In 1842, he came to Osaka and became a trainee at Shimaya dealing with futomono (cotton cloth and hemp cloth) and in 1856, he had a shop of Jisuke ABURAYA which was a branch family of Shimaya and started as a cotton merchant and became one of the best cotton warehouse merchant in Osaka. |
