He was so talented as a waka poet that his works were recorded in Chokusen wakashu (Imperial Anthology of Japanese Poetry) after "Gyokuyo Wakasyu" (Jeweled Leaves Collection) as well as "Bunpo Onhyakushu" and "Shoku Genyoshu," but allegedly somewhat untalented as a statesmen. |
