Yukio KOBAYASHI categorized the Sankakubuchi Shinjukyo Mirror (Mirror with Triangular Rim, Gods and Animals) into seven types, and he determined this tumulus was built at the end of the third century, because the excavated goods included mirrors of those types from the oldest to the fourth latest categories.
