Today, the rite is performed 1 to 3 years after death by writing the name of the deceased on 'shinshu' (it is equivalent to Buddhist tablets which is also used in Confucianism) and it is revered as a new ancestor.
現在でも死んでから1～3年後に常設の「神主（しんしゅ）」（儒教でも用いる。仏教の位牌にあたるもの。）に名前を記し、新たな先祖として祀る。 |
