The section between the Kitaoji-dori Street and Kujo-dori Street opened in 1939, after which the Nishioji-sen of the Kyoto Municipal Streetcar commenced operation along the street in 1943 coinciding with the opening of the section linking Enmachi and Hakubai-cho.
1939年（昭和14年）に北大路通-九条通が開通し、その上を走る京都市電西大路線も、未開通であった円町-白梅町がつながることによって1943年（昭和18年）に開通した。 |
