Since he was appointed Kurodo (Chamberlain) on the enthronement of Emperor Horikawa in 1086 he had served Emperor Horikawa as a trusted vassal, by being appointed Chugushiku (Office of Imperial Wives) at the investiture of the Imperial Princess Tokushi to Empress, and Kurodo no to (Head Chamberlain) in the following year.
1086年（応徳3年）の堀河天皇即位に際して蔵人に任ぜられたのを皮切りに、篤子内親王の立后に際して中宮職、翌には蔵人頭に任ぜられる等、堀河天皇に近臣として仕えた。 |
