Kyoshiki was equivalent to Kokushi (Provincial Offices) in the province, but, its social status was higher than that of Kokushi, and Kyoshiki was treated as kyokan (central government official) while Kokushi was treated as an outside official (local official). 京職は地方における国司にあたるが、格式はそれらより高く、国司が外官(地方官)であるのに対し、京職は京官(中央官)扱いであった。 |
