In 758, he rejected the awarding of a court rank Ge-jugoinoge (Jugoinoge [Junior Fifth Rank, Lower Grade] given to persons outside Kyoto) because of his being a priest, but ikuro (stipends paid to people who were in the fourth rank and the fifth rank) and iden (fields given according to the court rank) were not confiscated due to the Imperial command. 758年(天平宝字2年)僧であることを理由に外従五位下の爵位を辞したが、勅命により位禄・位田は没収されなかった。 |
