In 1805, he assumed Gon Dainagon, Outadokoro betto (an official in charge of managing and providing training for ancient Japanese songs and instruments) after taking various positions such as Sakonoe no chujo, Gon chunagon and Toka no sechie Geben (an official in charge of organizing and supervising ceremonies in the Imperial Court).
