Historically, Shobo-ji Temple (Oshu City, Iwate Prefecture) was the head temple for the two Ou provinces, and Daiji-ji Temple (Kumamoto City, Kumamoto Prefecture) was for a while the head temple of Kyushu; however, Eihei-ji Temple and Soji-ji Temple became head temples based on the Act for Temples in 1615. 歴史的には正法寺 (奥州市)(岩手県奥州市)が奥羽二州の本山、大慈寺(熊本県熊本市)が九州本山であった期間があるが、元和 (日本)元年(1615年)の寺院法度により永平寺、總持寺のみが大本山となる。 |
