He retired from his governmental position around 1878 and settled in Ebisugashita, Ogo Village, (current Tabuse-cho) Kumage County; he left many collections of poetry and personal notes, and he spent the rest of his life enjoying the companionship of nature. 明治11年(1878年)頃に官を退き、熊毛郡麻郷村戎ヶ下(現・田布施町)に居を定め、多くの詩編、手記を残し余生を風月と共に送った。 |
