This area contains Hashihaka tomb, the oldest keyhole-shaped mound and part of the Makimuku ruins at the foot of Mt. Miwa and, to the south of Tenri city, the Yamato tomb group, where the royal tombs of the early Yamato Kingdom are thought to be located. そこには三輪山山麓部の纏向遺跡には最古級の前方後円墳である箸墓古墳があり、また天理市の南部に所在する初期ヤマト政権の大王の墓を含むと推測されている大和古墳群がある。 |
