There remains an anecdote about Katsutada at the Battle of Sekigahara in 1600 where he offered his horse to Tadakatsu, who had lost his favorite horse Mikuniguro to an arrow shot by an enemy soldier, then continued to fight hard on foot, saving Tadakatsu from a tight situation. 1600年の関ケ原合戦に於いては、敵兵の放った矢によって愛馬・三国黒を失いながらも徒立ちで奮戦する忠勝に自分の馬を差し出し、忠勝の窮地を救ったという逸話が今に残っている。 |
