In the year 896, on the first anniversary of the death of MINAMOTO no Toru, his son fulfilled the unachieved ambition of his father by creating a statue of Amida sanzon and installing it in the Amida hall that he named Seika-ji Temple. 源融の一周忌に当たる寛平8年(896年)、融が生前に造立発願して果たせなかった阿弥陀三尊像を子息が造り、これを安置した阿弥陀堂を棲霞寺と号した。 |
