In 905 it was selected as a Jogaku-ji temple (one of the temples next to national temples in rank) and nenbundo-sha were allowed (approved people who enter the Buddhist priesthood), and was known as dojo (place of Buddhist practice or meditation) of the Shingon and the Sanron sects. 905年(延喜5年)には定額寺、年分度者を置くことを許されて、真言宗・三論宗の修学・修行道場として知られていた。 |
