When the line was inaugurated, it was a route with many curves because one-third of the Keihan Line was denominated as a tramway according to the applied regulation (Tramways Ordinance, later Tramways Act) and it was laid along the ancient route to Kyoto, threading through posting stations. 開業当初は適用法規(軌道条例、後に軌道法)の関係から京阪線の3分の1が併用軌道区間で、京街道の宿場を縫うように造られたためにカーブの多い路線であった。 |
