| Toyoji continued buildings ships and in 1875 after Meiji Restoration, corresponding to a policy of encouraging building western-style sailing ships made by the Hokkaido Development Commissioner, he engaged in building them and built twelve schooner type ships until he died in 1880. |
その後も船を造り続け、維新後の明治8年（1875年）には開拓使が西洋型船建造を奨励する方針を打ち出した為、豊治は西洋型帆船建造に従事し、明治13年（1880年）に逝去するまでスクーネル型船を12艘造った。 |
