| The temple built during the Bunsei reconstruction was a temporary one and slightly smaller than the previous temple, and many Buddha statues including a 5.2-meter high statue of Senju Kannon (Thousand Armed Avalokiteshwara) were enshrined there until the Kofuku-ji Temple Museum of National Treasures opened in 1959. |
