Shuho passed away in the 12th month of 1337, but, after asking the Cloistered Emperor Hanazono on his deathbed who he should pass on his position to, he recommended leading disciple Kanzan Egen (1277-1360). |
宗峰は建武4年(1337年)12月没するが、臨終間近の宗峰に花園法皇が「師の亡き後、自分は誰に法を問えばよいか」と尋ねたところ、宗峰は高弟の関山慧玄(かんざんえげん、1277-1360)を推挙した。 |
