| As this shrine is reportedly on a historic spot of the Yosa-no-miya Shrine, even after Amaterasu Omikami was transferred, the shrine has been venerated as the remains of Ise-jingu Naiku, and the shrine building was constructed at the time of Empress Genmei (707 - 715). |
社伝によれば、当神社はその旧跡であり、天照大神が吉佐宮から遷座した後もその神徳を慕った人々が引き続き伊勢神宮内宮の旧跡して崇敬してきたといい、元明天皇（707 - 15年）に社殿を建立したという。 |
